About Incorporation Index

Most comparisons of company formation stop at the registration fee. That's usually the smallest number. The real cost is the notary, the registered agent, the resident director, the audit and the accountant, and those vary far more from one country to the next.

Incorporation Index lists all of it for 44 countries and US states: what you pay to set up, what you pay every year after, and the legal minimum separately from what most founders end up spending.

Where the figures come from

Government registries, tax authorities and the published prices of formation agents, registered agents and accountants. Where a country doesn't publish a figure, we estimate it from public sources and typical market prices. Every page lists its sources and when it was last updated.

Who runs it

Incorporation Index is a trading name of Wild Bluebell Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.

How we make money

Some links to formation agents and banks are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes the rankings, which come from the figures alone. More on the disclosure page.
